How RedBeam and REST APIs make data work for you
Here’s an easy, non-technical way to explain to others how our applications are able to integrate with so many of your back office systems.
Think of REST APIs as a waiter in a restaurant. As a diner in that restaurant, you look at the menu (the system you want to connect to). You tell the waiter (the API) what you want, and they take your order to the kitchen (the system’s database). The kitchen prepares your food (the data), and the waiter brings it back to you exactly how you asked.
RedBeam’s REST APIs work the same way: They’re messengers that let different systems talk to each other, sending and receiving information in a way they both understand. This makes it easy to connect software, share data, and automate tasks without needing to know how everything works behind the scenes.
